Helicopter Spins Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Beach
A chopper flying above a crowded southern California shoreline suddenly commenced twirling wildly, eventually dropping height and crashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Footage uploaded on the internet capture the aircraft commencing to spiral near the shoreline then descending near the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged among palm trees and a set of stairs close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders reported five individuals were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the road were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
Planned Function
The department indicated the helicopter was associated with an annual “Cars N Copters” charity gathering scheduled for the next day.
