Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News
Skydance Paramount will begin mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan valued at $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction are a result of the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August worth $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are anticipated, as the firm planning to reveal all specifics via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Prior news stated the firm planned to cut from 2,000 and 3,000 jobs before the start of November.
By December 2024, the company retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 contract workers.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
